Install World of Warcraft Forever
Download and install Battle.net. From the app, download the World of Warcraft Forever client and choose the language you want to play in. Open the game from Battle.net once, then close it. This creates your initial game settings.
If you don’t have access to the beta, you can download the client using the following command in Command Prompt.

Download our launcher to prepare the client and connect it to our server. Once the client is installed, start the game through our launcher. If Battle.net updates the client to an unsupported build, wait for a compatible launcher version, the launcher autoupdates, and it checks for updates whenever you open it. Keep it in a folder with write permissions.
If the launcher does not automatically detect the client installation path, manually select the _classic_beta_ folder, which contains WowB.exe.

Linux: make the AppImage executable, open it and select Proton or system Wine in its Linux settings. Steam Deck: add the AppImage as a non-Steam game, without forcing Proton or nested gamescope. Steam + X opens the keyboard. Install Battle.net and WoW Forever into the same prefix.

In the launcher’s Linux settings, select Proton or system Wine and a prefix. Install Battle.net, then World of Warcraft Forever, using those same settings. Choose your game language, open the game once from Battle.net and close it before starting it through our launcher.
